PHOTOGRAPHY- PROPORTION, CONTRAST, EMPHASIS.
PHOTOGRAPHY
The most fun and interesting part of the module was this photography assignment which taught me so many new things that I never knew. Everyone likes to click pictures but only few knows about its techniques.
PROPORTION
A part, share or number considered in comparative relation to a whole.
CONTRAST
It is determined by the difference in the colour and brightness of the object and the other object within the same field of view.
EMPHASIS
Giving special importance, value or prominence to some object or element in a composition so that the object gets highlighted.
Photography can be done in 4 different grids and here are the photos of some subjects where those grids are used to create a better photos. Those grids are:
1. RULE OF THIRD: This is the process where an image is divided into thirds by using two horizontal and vertical lines.
2. GOLDEN RATIO: It is the ratio of a line segment cut into two pieces of different lengths such that the ratio of the whole segment to that of the longer segment is equal to the ratio of the longer segment of the shorter segment.
3. GOLDEN SPIRAL RATIO: It can be used as a guide to determine the placement of content. The spiral catches the attention of the eyes naturally when any object is placed in the center of the spiral.
4. PYRAMIDAL GRID: This grid will make the photography look more dynamic, complex and full of creativity at the same time.
