Harmony- Installation

Image
HARMONY is the combination of separate but related parts in a way that uses their similarities to bring their unity to a painting, drawing or any other object. So, the assignment was to show harmony in at least three elements and do a installation project. I showed harmony in shapes with the bottles, harmony in colour with the help of battery lights and cellophane paper and harmony in texture with the threads wrapped around. I decided to make an installation inspired from "THUNDER AND LIGHTNING". Also my concept was to recycle and reuse the old products kept unused at my home. As a grown girl I still have a fear of thunder sounds and lightning effects, so I decided that why not make my own version of thunder and lightning which does not make us afraid but while watching it gives calm and peaceful mind. MATERIALS USED: PROCESS: I cut the bottles into halves and then wrapped them with the thread. Inserted small battery lights inside the bottles and hanged the bottles with the h...

PHOTOGRAPHY- PROPORTION, CONTRAST, EMPHASIS.

PHOTOGRAPHY The most fun and interesting part of the module was this photography assignment which taught me so many new things that I never knew. Everyone likes to click pictures but only few knows about its techniques.  PROPORTION A part, share or number considered in comparative relation to a whole. CONTRAST It is determined by the difference in the colour and brightness of the object and the other object within the same field of view. EMPHASIS Giving special importance, value or prominence to some object or element in a composition so that the object gets highlighted. Photography can be done in 4 different grids and here are the photos of some subjects where those grids are used to create a better photos. Those grids are: 1. RULE OF THIRD : This is the process where an image is divided into thirds by using two horizontal and vertical lines. 2. GOLDEN RATIO : It is the ratio of a line segment cut into two pieces of different lengths such that the ratio of the whole segment ...

RHYTHM-TESSELLATION

Image
RHYTHM  So in this blog I will be talking about rhythm. Rhythm is a repeated pattern of movement or sound. It s a movement marked by regulated succession of strong and weak elements or of opposite or different composition. TESSELLATION It is an arrangement of shapes which are closely fitted together without overlapping or leaving any space between the shapes. PROCESS OF TESSELATING USING MNEMONIC SHAPES: 1. Shapes derived from the character "THE POWER PUFF GIRLS" and done the detailing inside the shape with the pen tool in the illustrator. 2. Placed the shapes in the square grid to see whether it is being tessellated or not. 3. Then the next step was arranging the grid into tessellation and here is the final outcome.

Balance using 5 elements.

Image
BALANCE Balance is something which we have always heard in our daily lives and knowingly or unknowingly have also used or followed it. So what is balance? Balance is putting equal weights or elements in a composition on either side to make it look alike or same or similar. So in this blog I have tried to make 2 compositions using 5 different elements of design to show balance: SYMMETRICAL BALANCE This can be explained as placing equal elements or weights on both the sides of the composition to make it look similar, same and give the composition a proper and balanced look. So the below composition is to show symmetrical balance for which I used 5 elements of design which was a woman portrait of which I changed its hue and saturation in the photoshop to give more emphasis and also to make the composition look like a image and not different elements just placed together. Next I used lines, yellow flower in circular form, shapes like square and circle and grey colour also to give the yello...
