UPCLYCLING FROM MY WARDROBE.

UPCYCLING FASHION:

Upcycled fashion takes the clothes that would otherwise be thrown away and reinvents them. The whole principle behind upcycling clothing is to take used garments and create new looks. As a result, clothing is given a new look, and new life, rather than adding to waste in a landfill. The purpose of upcycling is reducing waste and improving the efficiency of resource use.

So here I tried to upcycle my one piece dress which I hardly wore a couple of times only and changed it  into a crop top and skirt and the final result was really interesting.
It was a very simple process and using it I created something which I really liked it.

Firstly I chopped off the dress into two half. So that the upper portion could be worn as a crop top and the lower portion as a skirt.

Then in the first look I wore the crop top and the skirt and gave it a casual look for friends outing.
Also paired it with sneakers and a bag pack to give it a casual look.

In the second look I wore the crop top with a black palazzo pants and also added a checks jeggings at the top as I wanted to give it a blazer kind of a look. Added a belt, a chain and pair of heels as accessories to give it a chic look. Although this look was a bit experimental but the outcome was really unbelievable.

In the third look I just wanted to be less dramatic and keep it simple kind of outfit so just paired the crop top with a plain black palazzo pants and heels for a casual day out.

In the fourth look I paired the crop top and the skirt with a formal white shirt of which I tucked in one of the sleeves at the backside to give it a semi formal look . Added a black sling and sneakers as accessories to enhance the look and even this turned out to be a good one.

Lastly in the fifth look I wanted to try something semi ethnic but I had no dupattas or saree with me at that spot. So  I thought why not do something experimental and I did not had any idea that the outcome will come like this. I paired the crop top with a black high-waisted jeans and draped a black palazzo pant as a dupatta to give it a semi ethnic look also added a belt and heels to compliment the look, and I am totally satisfied with the look.

SO HERE IS THE FINAL VIDEO OF MY PROCESS AND LOOKS CREATED BY UPCYCLING MY OLD DRESS. HOPE YOU GUYS WILL LIKE IT:
