WHAT IS FASHION?
Fashion is a popular aesthetic expression at a particular time and place in a specific context, especially in clothing, footwear, lifestyle, accessories, makeup, hairstyle, and body proportions. According to sociologist Pierre Bourdieu, fashion connotes " the latest fashion, the latest difference. Fashion can be used to boost confidence . It is something we deal with everyday.
FASHION AND SOCIETY
Fashion plays a major role in our society and affects the social aspects of society. Fashion in general as many people say is a way to display our personalities. It also displays the feelings and mood of a person, and reflects on who they are and why they choose to wear clothes based on their personal taste.
We can see fashion in many ways, but now a days fashion has become the most polluting industries in the world and people are not ready to even give it a thought about it despite of having every knowledge.

FAST FASHION
Fast fashion is the term used to describe clothing designs that move quickly from the catwalk to stores to meet new trends. The collections are often based on designs presented at Fashion Week events.
Fast fashion became common because of cheaper clothing, an increase in the appetite for fashionable clothing, and the increase in purchasing power on the part of consumers. Because of all this, fast fashion is challenging new fashion lines that are introduced on a seasonal basis by traditional fashion houses.
MASS MARKET
The market for goods that are produced in large quantities. Ready to wear garments in mass. Cheap material of fabrics creatively used to produce affordable fashion. Uses simple production techniques therefore to sell at cheaper rates. It refers to a large undifferentiated market of consumers with widely varied background.
MINDLESS CONSUMERISM
This is something which we all do very often. It is "buying without thinking". When we start buying stuffs which we don't need but we want. It is when we buy without thinking but usually on impulse.
Fast fashion is something which is taking over the world. People have stopped thinking about the world but only are into fashion these days. The pressure to reduce costs and speed up production time means that environmental corners are cut in the name of profit. Fast Fashion's negative impact includes the use of cheap, toxic textile dyes, with the fashion industry the second largest polluter of clean water globally after agriculture.
