FASHION NEEDS AND CONSUMPTION - INDIVIDUAL ASPECT
So lets talk about my take in fashion. For me fashion is something which I have always been wanting. Not just now but even in my childhood days I have always been following the trend and dressing according to it. But at that age I never thought that following the trend as soon as it changes has started effecting the environment so badly. Since I started doing research I got to know that this fast fashion has so many drawbacks.
What is Fast Fashion?
Fast fashion is the term used to describe clothing designs that move quickly from the catwalk to stores to meet new trends. The collections are often based on designs presented at Fashion Week events. It allows mainstream consumers to purchase trendy clothing at an affordable price.
During this lockdown period I came to know that which are the clothes I needed and which are the ones that was not at all touched by me. I had to shift to my village due to this lockdown and while i was packing my luggage i took all my clothes which were in my closet without even thinking that " am I really gonna need all of them?" But when I spent almost 2 months staying there and I actually wore only two shorts and two t-shirts during this whole period even though I had my online classes going on but I used to sit in those. That's when it hit me and I realized that there are so many more clothes in my closet which is not needed but I have bought it just because I liked it or it was in trend but then I never wore it. From that day onwards I became more conscious and more aware and started to think about it.
SO GUYS GIVE IT A THOUGHT AND CHECK YOUR CLOSET, EVEN YOU ALL WOULD HAVE SO MANY CLOTHES WHICH ARE NOT USEABLE.
