Fashion is a term used in this modern world to judge your status and taste. Fashions is that trying new and latest styles in dresses, accessory and things also. Fashion is that which make you more presentable in today society and it is how people judge you that where do you stand in the world of fashion.
Fast fashion is the term used to describe clothing designs that move quickly from the catwalk to stores to meet new trends. The pressure to reduce costs and speed up production time means that environmental corners are cut in the name of profit. Fast Fashion's negative impact includes the use of cheap, toxic textile dyes – with the fashion industry the second largest polluter of clean water globally after agriculture.
Our fashion desires have taken over our needs on a global level and it has come to the extend that it has gone out of our hands and if we don't start thinking it by today we will be facing a lot of difficulties in the coming future. As the fashion industry is the second polluting industries in the world but it may become the first in not less than few years.
When it comes to the planet, Zara gets a ‘Not Good Enough’ rating from us. The program offers customers the opportunity to drop off their used garments in-store or through the post in order for their clothes to gain a second life—which is a good initiative. The brand also uses recycled packaging.
However, there is no evidence it minimizes textile waste when manufacturing its products. And, although Zara has set an absolute target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions generated from its own operations and supply chain, there is no evidence it is on track to meet its target.
