FASHION NEED AND CONSUMPTION - SOCIAL ASPECT

 It is clear from extant theory that fashion consumption is intrinsically bound to self‐concept and social identity. It's very clear that there is a lot of difference between what we want and what we actually need in our daily live. We live in a society wear we can't repeat our clothes as it seems like everyone will notice it and we will left all embarrassed.



Since I belong to a family where occasions just come every month be it a small birthday party or a wedding party. In those party people come for mostly showing off their accessories, dresses, makeup, etc. Being in this kind of a society where if you accidently wear something which you have already wore before, everyone's eyes will be on you and they will be finding some or the other way to stop you in front of every one and ask you "beta tumne shukla ji ke wedding anniversary party pe bhi yhi pehna tha na? This will let you embarrassed at all. Not only this but also you will never find out any of your relative wearing the same saree or jewelry again, they all just come to show off and nothing else without thinking that does this really necessary to do? Like why can't we wear those again in a different way or why not in a same way? Even I have the same issue. I never wear any clothe which I have worn earlier because my thinking was that everyone will judge me.



 But from now onwards we should at least think of reusing and recycling our clothes and stop the stereotype of buying more and more while we already have so many unused.

    Yes, we really need to break this taboo of what will people think if we will keep repeating our clothes and, we should stop buying more and more.

Harmony- Installation

HARMONY is the combination of separate but related parts in a way that uses their similarities to bring their unity to a painting, drawing or any other object. So, the assignment was to show harmony in at least three elements and do a installation project. I showed harmony in shapes with the bottles, harmony in colour with the help of battery lights and cellophane paper and harmony in texture with the threads wrapped around. I decided to make an installation inspired from "THUNDER AND LIGHTNING". Also my concept was to recycle and reuse the old products kept unused at my home.
