Environmental issues are harmful effects of human activity on the biophysical environment. Environment protection is a practice of protecting the natural environment on the  individual, organizational or the governmental levels, for the benefit of both the environment and human.

These are some of the major reasons why our environment is being harmed. In this era where we have developed in all the aspects and get each and everything with ease has led us to stop thinking about our environment. Today as we are growing more we can see how our mother earth is getting effected day by day which is only because of us humans. It has caused so many issues and here we will be talking about some major issues which are climate change and fashion industry.

FASHION INDUSTRY

The fashion industry is said to be the most polluting industries in the world. The textile industry is the second greatest polluter of local freshwater in the world and is culpable for approximately one-fifth of all the industrial water pollution.









SOME OF THE MAIN FACTORS OF POLLUTION ARE:

  • OVER PRODUCTION OF FASHION ITEMS
  • USE OF SYNTHETIC FIBRES
  • AGRICULTURE POLLUTION OF FASHION CROPS
  • FAST FASHION
  • MASS MARKET

CLIMATE CHANGE
 
A change in global or regional climate patterns, in particular a change apparent from the mid to late 20th century onwards and attributed largely to the increased levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide produced by the use of fossil fuels.











CAUSES OF CLIMATE CHANGE

The causes of climate change are:
  • Greenhouse  gases
  • Solar Activity
  • Agriculture
  • Deforestation
  • Human activity
  • Livestock
  • Extreme weather conditions
  • Melting of glaciers














SOME LONG TERM EFFECTS WILL BE:


  • Decrease in sea ice
  • Increase in heat waves and precipitation
  • Decrease in water resources 
  • Drought will keep on increasing all over the world
  • Hurricanes will erupt fast

MEASURES THAT CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE:


  • Speak up
  • Use renewable resources
  • Reduce water wastage
  • Use paper bags
  • 3R'S (Reuse, Reduce, Recycle)
  • Buy less and wear the old ones more
  • Stop using your personals vehicles and opt for public transport
  • Stop using plastics
  • Stop using materials which cannot be compressed or may take years to do so


ITS HIGH TIME GUYS that we should start thinking about our future and environment which is being harmed day by day as these are some serious issues which are discussed above. If you think you should raise your voice for it and surely you should but first start from within your own houses and I'm sure it will make a difference. PLEASE GIVE IT  A THOUGHT.

    Indeed its high time that we all should start taking action and yes it should start from our house itself. As a change within will only lead to a change outside.

    This is a very informative post about how climate change affects us! The documentaries that educated us about the youth led movements are such a great eye opener about how the problem is real and enormous.

Harmony- Installation

HARMONY is the combination of separate but related parts in a way that uses their similarities to bring their unity to a painting, drawing or any other object. So, the assignment was to show harmony in at least three elements and do a installation project. I showed harmony in shapes with the bottles, harmony in colour with the help of battery lights and cellophane paper and harmony in texture with the threads wrapped around. I decided to make an installation inspired from "THUNDER AND LIGHTNING". Also my concept was to recycle and reuse the old products kept unused at my home.
