UPCLYCLING FROM MY WARDROBE.

Image
UPCYCLING FASHION: Upcycled fashion  takes the  clothes  that would otherwise be thrown away and reinvents them. The whole principle behind  upcycling clothing  is to take used garments and create new looks. As a result,  clothing  is given a new look, and new life, rather than adding to waste in a landfill.  The purpose  of  upcycling  is reducing waste and improving  the  efficiency of resource use. So here I tried to upcycle my one piece dress which I hardly wore a couple of times only and changed it  into a crop top and skirt and the final result was really interesting. It was a very simple process and using it I created something which I really liked it. Firstly I chopped off the dress into two half. So that the upper portion could be worn as a crop top and the lower portion as a skirt. Then in the first look I wore the crop top and the skirt and gave it a casual look for friends outing. Also paired it wit...

Despite of knowing the facts that fast fashion is creating a lot of negative effects still we are choosing it over our environment. We as human being are focusing more into fashion trends rather than focusing about the problems which should be solved as soon as possible. FAST FASHION POLLUTING THE NATURE . FAST FASHION POLLUTING THE WATERBODIES. FAST FASHION POLLUTING THE AIR WE BREATHE. FAST FASHION CREATING MICROFIBRES,PLASTICS AND OTHER WASTE WHICH POLLUTES THE WATERBODIES. Among the environmental  impacts of fast fashion  include the depletion of non-renewable sources, emission of greenhouse gases and the use of massive amounts of water and energy. TRUE COST OF THE FAST FASHION.

Image
FAST FASHION:  Fast fashion which I have already explained in my earlier blog, is the term used to describe clothing designs that move quickly from the catwalk to the stores to meet new trends. Innovation in the supply chain makes this fast fashion possible. Now lets talk about WHAT ARE THE PROBLEMS CAUSED DUE TO FAST FASHION : According to the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), an average consumer now buys 60% more items of clothing compared to 2000, but keeps each garment not more than half a year. Almost 60% of the clothes end up in the landfill within the first year of their production and above all these still there are 40% of the clothes which remains in our wardrobe which are never worn. Now I am going to share a video with you guys which will give a clear idea of what's happening in the world. So do watch the video guys.    As we all know that the growing fashion industry has become the most polluting one. As shown in the video every year aroun...
